The base material of the cup is Jingdezhen Tao Ni, with its high iron content, the texture of the cup is both rustic and metallic. The special effect of 'Tear' comes from the plant ash in the wood fuel, which after firing at high temperature 'drops' on the tea-ware.
The size is perfect as a 'Zhu Ren Bei', meaning the tea master's cup, when one drinks tea by oneself. Each piece is one of its kind and handmade by a gallery studio in Jingdezhen.
